MMMM

Played audience to the performance by the inhouse band today morning. I was surprised at how good they are. There were a couple of guys on the percussion instruments, one on the guitar, another on the flute. A keybaord and a violin completed teh ensemble of instruments. It wasn't your regular "fusion" crap. It was a blend of pure hindustani and carnatic classical music. And boy oh boy, was it music to the ears. The flute and tabla dudes broke into an impromptu jugalbandi in between, and they were really good.

Dudes, we simply must fulfil our dream of forming the Royal Basaveshwaranagara Philaharmonic Orchestra...yeah sure, you can call the group by any other name you like...

but the Monkeys Must Make Music.

oh, i got the title for the post :)

Another damn analogy

Life is like a game of squash.
Or any other sport, it's just that the monkeys are currently into squash.

You play against the forces (for lack of a better word).
You don't really have control over them.
In the game of squash, the forces are the will & skill of your opponent combined with other worldly elements you have no control over.
So you all you can do is give your best.
You can slide and dive across the floor all you like, in your attempt to keep the ball in play and hit a winning shot.
But your best efforts can amount to nothing.

All you can do is pick yourself up from the floor and take another shot at it.
Your best shot.

The monkeys will keep playing.

May the ducks of your lives quack ever harmoniously

Please...allow me to get carried away. A toast to the nuttiest bunch of goofballs that ever walked this planet. May the monkeys dance merrily. Always

Where is the monkey who was so enthusiastic to join and revive Monkeys dancing ??
